Day at the Lake

We went to a lake that is in Fort Worth on Sat. It is a spring fed lake with a 25 foot slide, 6 diving boards and a 25 foot trapeze. The kids had a lot of fun. Kaitlyn went off the little diving board (3 ft water, and also she went off the regular diving board in about 5 foot water. She jumped off this diving board without floats on and swam to us. She did great. Brandon went off both diving boards (lifejacket on the bigger one) and also my little boy went down the 25 foot slide. As you see in the picture he was a little scared coming down, but wanted to do it again!!! Joshua did not have any fear!!! He did the trapeze (he was so little Jarrod had to lift him up just to grap the bar the swing. HE loved it and did it many times. He also loved the slide. Then he said he wanted to do the high dive (which is about a 5 M high dive. I thought once he got to the edge, he would look down and change his mind, NOPE he jumped off and thought it was GREAT. He looked so little up there. I think mommy was much more scared then he was. He has always been a daredevil on rides and stuff (he goes on the cliffhanger, shockwave ect.. at six flags), but he has always been a little cautious of the water. Not now, he has confidence and loves the water and swimming. We really had a good day and daddy did the high dive too. Mommy is not that brave.

High DIve

Here is Joshua jumping off the high dive. The first pictures are him on the 15 foot board and the second two are on the 18 foot diving board. He loved it and did it about 3 or 4 more times until he got tired. Thats a lot of swimming. Everyone at church (we went with our Sunday school group) was talking about Joshua. They could not believe how brave he was and that he had not fear!! The Trees you see are not little trees they are huge.

These pictures are of Kaitlyn and Brandon going off the regular diving board. Everyone was laughing at Brandon in this 1st picture because right before he jumped he was dancing at the end of the board. He is such a clown. You can always click on the pictures and see them a little bigger. Kaitlyn was jumping pretty high off the board also.

More Lake Pictures

These are a few pictures of the kids playing in the sand. They had a really nice beach area. The last two pictures are of Kaitlyn and Brandon going off the little diving board. It was in about 3 foot water.

House Hunting continues.......

Well we have made a offer on two houses and both offers did not work out. On the 1st house we made an offer he counteroffered and we declined the counteroffer, then on the next house someone made an offer at the same time we did and they took their offer, so we will just continue to look. Maybe the guy at the 1st house will come back with a better offer or we will find a new one. There is a perfect house out there for us somewhere!!!

House Hunting!!

Well we have been house hunting the past month and on Monday we made an offer on a house. We are waiting to hear if the owner accepted the offer or not. If he did and everything works out we will be moving Mid to late August. This time we are not moving out of state, just 2 streets over from where we are at now!!! We don't have to many pictures, just a few of the big kitchen (well big compared to what I have now) and a few of the living room. The kids are excited about getting a new house. Kaitlyn's request for a new house was that she wanted flowers outside!! That's pretty simple. Hopefully we will find out about this house in the next day or so, if we don't get it, we will start looking again!! I will post when we get a house!!!


 

4th of July Parade

Well I took the kids to the Arlington 4th of July Parade. The kids really enjoyed it but it was VERY hot. There were over 200 floats but we did not make it to the end. Just too hot out there for the kids and for Mommy. We went with some friends and got there really early to get a good seat. We did not get to go see fireworks that night because Kaitlyn got sick so we just watched them on TV (which Joshua said was very boring). Kaitlyn had strep a few weeks ago and ended up getting it again so hopefully this medicine will work.


 

Princess Tea Party

Kaitlyn went to one of her friend's birthday party this past weekend and got to be a princess for a day!!! (Of course she is always our princess)!! The girls had a lot of fun, they got to dress up, put on makeup and then learn how to have tea!! I think she liked pouring the tea (lemonde) from the pot the best!! They even taught the girls how to do the Princess wave and went on a parade!! It was so cute.


 

T-ball

Kaitlyn and Brandon played on a preschool T-ball league. It was very basic but they had a lot of fun. Brandon of course made everyone laugh at most of the games. He came around the bases and got to home and literally stole home, he took the Tee and carried to the benches and just grinned at everyone!! He is such a clown. Kaitlyn was very competitive and loved playing. She was always ready to catch the ball and really concentrated on hitting the ball. She is defintly going to be a competitor, Brandon on the other hand??? Who knows!!! Right now he just likes to make people laugh!! The have started playing 4 weeks of soccor now and I will have pictures of that later


 

Joshua's swimming Lessons

Joshua took swimming lessons the end of May, first of June. He did pretty good but did not have a lot of confidence in himself so we put him back in lessons again a month later and he did awsome. He swims with great confidence now and knows he can do it. He was diving off the diving board and swiming the length of the pool with no problems!! He now swims everywhere and loves it!! We were very proud of him.


 

Kaitlyn's swim Lessons

Kaitlyn took swim lessons at the end of May, 1st of June and did great!!! She went into swim lessons barely putting her head in the water and ended the two week lessons jumping off th diving board and swiming to the side all by herself. She was a little scared to do the slide and diving board but got up there like a big girl and did it!! We were so proud of her. We have been swimming a lot since then and she is a little fish in the water, always wanting to practice her swimming. She is so cute and growing up so fast.
